Below is a schedule to help you plan starting twelve months prior to your wedding day.

Twelve Months in Advance

Determine the type of wedding you want, size, degree of formality and setting you want.
Select a date and time.
Check with your officiant to determine premarital requirements and reserve a date and time for wedding and rehearsal.
Announce the good news to your local and hometown newspapers and church groups.
Print your free wedding budget worksheet and start planning your budget.
Start planning your ceremony.
Determine who will stand with you as your Maid of Honor, Bridesmaids, Best Man, and  Groomsmen. Choose a Flower Girl and Ring Bearer.

Nine Months in Advance
Start planning your wedding reception guest list.
Now start the fun part - planning your wedding reception.
Preserve the memories - meet with your photographer and videographer.
Begin selecting your wedding day attire.

Six Months In Advance
Plan your wedding day transportation - arrive by Chariot…One-Horse Open Sleigh…or Limousine?
Decide on your floral arrangement. Be sure to contact Jean Lyons, our floral specialist. She can help you with all your floral needs including bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and flower girl baskets.
Time to gather the girls! Select the Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid's attire.
Select your food caterer. Choose your hors d'oeuvres, themed buffets, or themed sit-down dinner service.
Make your wedding special by choosing the right music. Soloist, orchestra, band, or disc jockey.
Plan your beverage service.
Guests traveling from out of town will need accommodations. Make reservations.
Make your rehearsal dinner reservations.
Plan your honeymoon get-away - you will need it!

Four Months In Advance
Order your theme-wedding package from Wedding Design Online including matching invitations, and accessories.
Be creative - order your wedding cake to match your theme.
Time to gather the guys! Select Best Man and Groomsmen attire.
Confirm attire for girls and guys and place order now.
Spend some special time together selecting your wedding rings.
Go shopping! Visit your favorite stores and enroll in their Bridal Registry.

Two Months In Advance
Purchase your gifts to thank your attendants.
Mail your wedding invitations and start recording your RSVP'S.
Schedule an appointment for blood tests, and secure your marriage license.

One Month In Advance
 Contact your wedding attendants to arrange final fittings of tuxedos, gowns and dresses.
Don't forget your hair! Schedule an appointment with your hairdresser.
Re-confirm all services and goods you ordered.

Two Weeks In Advance
Address announcements.
Contact guests who have not responded.
Pick up wedding rings.
Meet with photographer, videographer and entertainer.
Continue writing thank you notes for gifts you have received.

One Week in Advance
 Provide your caterer with the total guest count and confirm all details.
Review details and timetables with all vendors.
Plan your seating arrangements.
Pick up tickets and travelers checks for honeymoon.
Assign tasks to wedding party.
Practice applying makeup and styling your hair.
Pick up attire and check the fit.
Pack for honeymoon.
Rehearse ceremony.
Attend rehearsal dinner.
Finalize transportation, floral, and cake.
Give officiant's fee to best man.

The Night Before
